The schedule for the 2013 Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards Festival is out, and we’re happy to reveal that we’re a part of it – we’ll be performing at the famed Fred’s Texas Cafe, at 4:00 PM.  (We’ll be followed by Mills & Co., Jacob Furr & The Only Road, Kevin Aldridge & The Appraisers, Clint Niosi & The Unaccountable, and Derek Larson & The Leavers.)

Admission is FREE, and the Weekly’s Music Awards compilation CD will be on sale for just $5, with proceeds going to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.  The CD features 18 tracks by local artists nominated for awards, including our song “Between Brownstones.”

We’ve made a Facebook event and a Google+ event for those who would like to RSVP that way.  See you on the 23rd!

Another weekend, another show – and this one’s during the day!  And it’s outside!

We’re performing in the Cowtown Cleanup Fest, brought to you by the fine folks at Keep Fort Worth Funky in association with the South Hemphill Heights Neighborhood Association.  They’re cleaning up their ‘hood tomorrow morning, and then at noon everybody’s gathering in Capps Park (at College & Berry) for a get together with drinks, food, activities, vendors, and of course, live music.

We’re going on first, around 12:30 tomorrow afternoon.  Following us will be Big City Folk and Tim Platt & All That Is Beautiful, so it’s a day full of great tunes not to miss.  And it’s FREE, and the weather’s supposed to be grand, so why not come on out to Capps Park?  We’ll see you tomorrow!

Us, performing at our showcase!

We had an AWESOME time at SXSW!  We played our show, had a blast, met and hung out with some incredible bands, and just generally did it up right.  Big thanks to GoGirls Music for having us in their showcase, and a HUGE thanks to Laurel Dagger of San Antonio’s own Mrs. Howl for being our guest drummer – she rocks!

SURPRISE! Short-Notice Show THIS WEDNESDAY!

LindbyAbandonCityQuickie

This one caught us a little off-guard, but we’re excited!  We just got added to a fun lineup at Lola’s Saloon this Wednesday, March 6th, after another band had to drop out.  Our super friends Lindby, us, and Abandon City are hitting the stage starting at 10:00.  It’s an all-ages show and just $5 ($9 under 21).

We are very generously being joined by Lindby drummer Logan Bowers for this show, for which we are very appreciative.  It’s going to be a fun night, so come on out Wednesday to see us break your hump day blues!

New Music! New Shows!

Hey there, fan land!  It’s been a little while since we talked, but it’s time to get y’all up to speed on the latest happenings in Diabolical Machinesville.  We’ve been working hard on reformulating things with the new lineup, and we’ve got the first fruits of our labor to share:

Artoria Cover

First, the big news – we’ve put out a new song!  It’s called “Artoria,” and you can grab it on our Bandcamp page (name your own price, anywhere from “zero” to “eleventy billion dollars” or anywhere in between) or stream it below:

“Artoria” was written by Steph and features her on guitar and lead vocal, Harley on guitar and backing vocals, and Kevin on electric uke, bass guitar, drum track, and backing vocals.  It was recorded in our ad hoc home studio by Kevin and Harley and the production is by Kevin.

Next, we’ve got some shows coming up to tell y’all about!  We’ve got three shows currently booked for the spring:

Super excited to bring you all new tunes and new shows!  Thanks for being fans!
