Strike that last post – besides our show on October 17, we’re doing the Beach Boys thing again on October 12! Lola’s in Fort Worth is hosting the Fort Worth Rock Assembly Redux, a reunion of some of us Rock Assembly bands plus a newcomer.
The Rock Assembly Redux features:
We the Sea Lions performing The Cure
Panic Volcanic performing Deep Purple
Lindby performing David Bowie
Us performing The Beach Boys
Bomb Atomic – their cover subject TBA
Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 8:00. $8 for 21 & up, $10 under 21.
It’s a D/FW mini-tour – two shows this week! Show #1: we’re in Fort Worth this Friday, at the brand-new Shipping & Receiving bar just off South Main in the Near Southside. Not only will you be getting us, but you’ll also be getting our BFFs Lindby, making it one heck of a fun night of Fort Worth indie pop/rock. Doors open at 8:00, and guess what – there’s NO COVER! It’s cheap as free! Great excuse to catch our brands of tunes and check out a super-cool new venue. We play first, then Lindby.
Show #2 this week: on Saturday, we’re in Dallas at City Tavern, in the heart of downtown, for a really cool show presented by The Artist Collective. Things kick off with an acoustic set by Robbie Saunders, then it’s us, and the night closes out with the always-awesome Missing Sibling. It’s going to be a great night of indie music right in the heart of Big D! Get there at 9:00 PM. It’s just $5 to get in, and City Tavern has great food and drink!
Tonight is the night for Doug Funnie‘s Metal Gear Solid mixtape release, so that means you’re gonna want to be at The Grotto (on University just north of West 7th Street in Fort Worth) for our show! It’s us, plus Lindby, plus Bomb Atomic, plus Doug – and it’s cheap at just $5. C’mon and be there! Fun starts at 9:00 – that’s when we play to open the evening.
Head to The Grotto at 9:00 on the 5th to see Doug, along with us, our BFF band Lindby, and the greatness that is Bomb Atomic. It’s going to be EPIC. What’s more, it’s just $5, so get on out to The Grotto next Friday!
We are very generously being joined by Lindby drummer Logan Bowers for this show, for which we are very appreciative. It’s going to be a fun night, so come on out Wednesday to see us break your hump day blues!
Hey there, fan land! It’s been a little while since we talked, but it’s time to get y’all up to speed on the latest happenings in Diabolical Machinesville. We’ve been working hard on reformulating things with the new lineup, and we’ve got the first fruits of our labor to share:
First, the big news – we’ve put out a new song! It’s called “Artoria,” and you can grab it on our Bandcamp page (name your own price, anywhere from “zero” to “eleventy billion dollars” or anywhere in between) or stream it below:
“Artoria” was written by Steph and features her on guitar and lead vocal, Harley on guitar and backing vocals, and Kevin on electric uke, bass guitar, drum track, and backing vocals. It was recorded in our ad hoc home studio by Kevin and Harley and the production is by Kevin.
Next, we’ve got some shows coming up to tell y’all about! We’ve got three shows currently booked for the spring:
More show news! We’re playing the famed Lola’s Saloon on 6th Street in Fort Worth on Thursday, November 15th! This should be a fun one – we’re opening for Lindby and Tim Platt & All That Is Beautiful. More details, including times, coming soon!
