We’ve been nominated for a Fort Worth Weekly Music Award! The ballot comes out on the 15th, at which point we need all of you to vote for us!
As part of this nomination, we’re appearing on this year’s Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards compilation CD, along with several other nominated bands. We recorded our song today at Eagle Audio Recording in the Near Southside, under the direction of engineer Britt Robisheaux of The Theater Fire.
AND, we’ve been asked to perform at the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards festival on Sunday, June 23rd! The exact time & location will be announced later.
These are all big honors and we are very excited to be nominated for an award and asked to participate in all these various things. Big things ahead!
As mentioned above, we recorded our song for the FW Weekly CD today at Eagle Audio. Kevin took some photos of the whole thing (on a combination of an iPhone and a big camera), and we’d like to share ‘em with you:
It’s been a long while in the planning, and it’s had to get over some delay and other issues, but we’re happy to announce that we’re headed to the studio to record our debut EP next month. The EP will be recorded in Fort Worth’s Near Southside, and will be recorded & produced with vintage equipment by Britt Robisheaux of The Theater Fire/Drug Mountain/Most Efficient Women fame.
We’re really excited to finally be getting this done, and can’t wait for everybody to hear the results. We’re still working on finalized art and a title, so in the meantime please enjoy the design above, which will be used on some new stickers and buttons coming out in the not-too-distant future.
We’re excited to announce that you can now find our music on both Rdio and Spotify! That’s in addition to iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, and our Bandcamp page. ”Artoria” is available now, and all future releases will be as well. Happy streaming!

Hey there, fan land! It’s been a little while since we talked, but it’s time to get y’all up to speed on the latest happenings in Diabolical Machinesville. We’ve been working hard on reformulating things with the new lineup, and we’ve got the first fruits of our labor to share:
First, the big news – we’ve put out a new song! It’s called “Artoria,” and you can grab it on our Bandcamp page (name your own price, anywhere from “zero” to “eleventy billion dollars” or anywhere in between) or stream it below:
“Artoria” was written by Steph and features her on guitar and lead vocal, Harley on guitar and backing vocals, and Kevin on electric uke, bass guitar, drum track, and backing vocals. It was recorded in our ad hoc home studio by Kevin and Harley and the production is by Kevin.
Next, we’ve got some shows coming up to tell y’all about! We’ve got three shows currently booked for the spring:
